The European financial crisis also slightly spilled over to the North American market, affecting the said market's consumer confidence. Nevertheless, the industry's shipment to Asia Pacific, China, and emerging markets continued to enjoy steady growth, bolstering the industry's overall shipment in the second quarter of 2010. Shipments of some brand-name vendors, which mainly target at the European market and have some product lines sold with Euro price tags, were affected the most in the second quarter of 2010, traditionally an off season for notebook PC sales.
